Gary Burns is a certified general appraiser with over forty years of appraisal experience and conducts all appraisal work with help from the staff.

As a certified forester and wildlife biologist, Gary understands timber assets, wildlife management and deer breeding facilities, as well as farms, ranches, recreational, development and special purpose properties.  Other services include 'before and after' appraisal reports and conservation easement appraisals.

Estate Appraisal

Gary has many years of experience working with attorneys and accountants to help families settle estates and partition properties.  He produces comprehensive real estate appraisal of timberland, farms, ranches and special use properties.  Retroactive appraisals are often needed for 'date of death' valuations.

Landscape Tree Appraisal

Burns Forestry has been involved in landscape tree appraisal for many years.  Gary even published a peer-reviewed article on the appraisal of landscape trees in the Journal of Forestry.  Background as a certified general appraiser gives him a practical approach to valuing landscape trees and plants.
